About Terrapin Innovators

The Terrapin Innovation Leadership Program is a selective scholarship initiative dedicated to providing transfer students from Montgomery College and Prince George’s Community College with a transformative academic cohort experience. Students in the program earn a minor in Technology Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation, participate in professional development workshops, and receive impactful scholarship support to help them achieve their UMD degree.

Formerly known as the Southern Management Leadership Program, this initiative has helped 465 students graduate from the University of Maryland since its inception in 2006. Students in this program have an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship and seek to develop the entrepreneurial mindset that will enable them to thrive as future founders and leaders.
